Welcome to St Charles Borromeo Catholic Community. If you have never attended one of our services or activities, you are in for a treat. Mass at St Charles is a joyful event with great music, upbeat homilies, and the warm, friendly atmosphere generated by our parishioners all leading to authentic worship. For the newcomer, Mass will be familiar yet enhanced and revitalized by the congregation's active participation.
Within our community, we
have a wide variety of activities. We are a people who help feed the needy, participate in blood drives, engage in many interfaith projects and reach out to care for all through community service, while sharing our faith in Jesus and living the Gospel.
St Charles is truly a community that calls
and welcomes you to participate if you would like, rather than simply sit on the
sidelines. We urge you to come and see what truly sets our Catholic Community apart from other Catholic
parishes that you may have experienced. Once you see what is so unique about St Charles, we
are sure that you will want to accept our invitation and join our community.

Want to be an Altar Server? Call Jan, 447-4549, extension 113. Training for new altar servers is offered frequently. We welcome new servers, ages Fifth Grade through adult, at all masses.
On
Wednesday, August 4, our parish will observe a Holy Hour in the church from 7-8
p.m. Bishop Cordileone has requested that all parishes in the diocese do
this as an official, prayerful end to the Year of the Priest.
Our
Holy Hour will be a prayer service in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament,
including scripture, communal prayers, singing, and three ten-minute periods of
silent adoration.
For
those who are new to Adoration, ten minutes of silence can be very difficult.
Some people bring prayer books or journals and pray with those; others prefer to
simply focus on the sacrament. There are some handouts in the vestibule if
you would like to know more about Adoration.
We
hope to see many people at the Holy Hour as we pray for our priests. All
of us have, hopefully, had the blessing of a special priest in our lives at some
time, someone who perhaps married us or helped us through a difficult time, or
who by his pastoral abilities helped us to remain close to the Church. You
are invited to write the names of any such priest in the prayer book in the
vestibule and we will pray for those men during the Holy Hour.
If
you are unable to come to the church on Wednesday for the Holy Hour, you are
encouraged to spend time at home in prayer for all priests and for vocations.
